Marino Institute of Education (MIE) is a higher education institute with a singular focus on education. We provide a vibrant teaching, learning and research community committed to promoting inclusion, quality and excellence in education for the public good. MIE is an Associated College of Trinity College Dublin, the University of Dublin and all of MIE’s academic programmes are validated, quality assured and accredited by Trinity College Dublin.
Established in 1905 as a Christian Brothers Educational Research and Resource Training Centre, MIE has a long tradition of excellence in Initial Teacher Education, providing a wide range of high quality programmes to Irish and international students. Today MIE offers programmes for students who want to teach in primary schools, early years settings, in second chance and further education, or in a wide variety of informal environments. MIE also offers the successful Trinity International Foundation Programme, attracting students from more than 25 countries. Our growing network of international partners affords our students the opportunity to get the best preparation for a career in Education.
Conference Centre: The Marino Conference Centre offers 20 conference and banqueting rooms (10 available during the academic year). Capacities range from 2 to 400 delegates. Room set ups are flexible and can be tailored to any event including all Audio Visual requirements. The Marino Conference Centre is the ideal location in North Dublin for all training courses, events and meetings and events. Complimentary Car Parking facilities are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Campus: MIE has on-campus accommodation with 302 single rooms. Situated on a parkland site with beautiful grounds and several playing fields, MIE has several computer labs, a specifically designed early childhood education room, a designated art room, a modern library, a modern sports hall and gym, and an excellent canteen and coffee shops to cater for all tastes.
Library: The Library of Marino Institute of Education is housed in St Patrick’s Hall and caters to over 1400 students and staff through the provision of print and online resources and services.
