NOVA University Lisbon (NOVA) is a young European university located in the capital of Portugal, one of the safest countries in the world. More than 20,000 students study at NOVA and about 20% are international, of 109 nationalities, contributing to create a multicultural environment. The more than 530 mobility partnerships in 63 countries allow NOVA students to study abroad and guarantee the university receives around 1,000 exchange students per year.
LIBRARY : The mission of NOVA libraries is to support teaching and research carried out by professors, students and researchers. Together they offer a collection of over 307,000 printed books, 6,388 printed journal titles, over 18,000 e-journal titles, theses and dissertations, 26,300 ebooks and access to bibliographical, statistical and financial databases relevant for all of the major
scientific areas. NOVA libraries promote projects in several areas:
• Library training sessions (more than 100 sessions per year)
• Participation in training courses of NOVA Doctoral School: “Information Literacy” and Information Literacy Supervisors´ Training Course”
• International cooperation with PALOP (African Countries of Official Portuguese Language) and East Timor

ACCOMMODATION: The Social Welfare Services (SASNOVA) have three residence halls with a total of 460 beds for the university students, with priority given to Portuguese scholarship students and foreign students in exchange programs.
